Command a mechanized mercenary crew to strip valuable tech from crashed orbital wrecks and fight your way out in this tactical extraction RTS.
One wrong move and your crew is just more scrap for the next team.
Salvage Wars is a single-player tactical extraction RTS where you command a crew of mechs and vehicles to salvage high-value tech from active warzones before the original owners, or rival salvage crews, take you out.
You run a mercenary salvage company operating on a volatile planet below an active orbital war. In the Overworld, you manage your persistent crew, repair and upgrade vehicles with modular equipment, and take up mercenary contracts. Study which ships are about to make orbitfall and choose your next landing site carefully. Higher drop weights mean higher dropship fees, so plan your deployment crew wisely.
During Operations, you deploy your forces to a battlefield to extract valuable components from crashed ships. You’re not alone: the local military, wreck survivors, rescue squads, rival scavengers, and bandits are all after the same prize.
You must manage inventory weight, directional armor, and tactical positioning—deciding when to push your luck for better loot and when to extract before overwhelming enemy reinforcements arrive. The longer you stay, the greater the reward, but also the danger, creating a press-your-luck loop where greed often meets destruction. Units are persistent across missions, carrying their stats, injuries, and upgrades with them, making every loss meaningful.
